About us

The London Nautical School was founded in 1915, as a consequence of the official report into the loss of the “Titanic”. In 1990, it became one of the country’s first 11-18 comprehensive secondary schools for boys to be awarded grant maintained status.

In September 1999, we became a Foundation School within the London Borough of Lambeth. The school is situated in Stamford Street on the south bank of the River Thames, in between Blackfriars Bridge and Waterloo Bridge.

  • Take time over each homework.
  • Make sure you always have correct equipment ( pencil, ruler, rubber, sharpener ) – it makes it much easier for you to progress with your work and your level.
  • Use shading or colour for extra marks.
  • Look after your sketchbooks and always bring them to class.
  • Ask for help if you are not sure what to do.
  • Always attempt a homework.
