As part of the Enterprise
Nautical Education objectives this year the following activities have taken
place.
- 12 Year 11 students spent a
week on the Earl of Romney, courtesy of the Marine Society.
- 10 Year 10 Boys spent a day
on HMS Richmond.
- 120 Year 8 boys have spent a
week at The Bradwell Outdoor Centre.
- 2 Year 11 students are
presently training in order to gain their RYA assistant instructors
certificates.
- 8 Year 10 students spent a week
at Bude in Cornwall training to be lifeguards, the training was assisted by
the RNLI and were filmed by the BBC, Well done to all those involved! The film
was shown to the school in September.
- 12 boys have now completed
their RYA Power Boating training at the Ahoy Centre in Deptford, well done to
all of you!
