Dame Mary Richardson from HSBC Bank visited the London Nautical School on 1^st October 2001. Following a tour of the school and a presentation, Dame Mary announced that HSBC Bank would be the school’s main sponsor for its forthcoming Sports Specialist Status bid. With a generous promise of £30,000 from HSBC, the school is off to an excellent start gathering the £50,000 required in order to be eligible to apply for Sports Specialist Status.

The school has a strong tradition of nautical and sporting activities and Sports Specialist Status will provide the additional funds to enable it to enhance its overall sporting provision for the benefit of its pupils, youngsters from nearby schools and the local community. Good Luck to them.
