In Sept 1950 I attended a school geography camp at Hindhead, Surrey. The attached photos show some of the
camp and our activities, which included a visit to a military railway training ground, to train (no pun intended) personnel to operate any foreign railway system during a war. We also visited Southsea, and H.M.S Victory.
I have postcards of these and the Hindhead countryside. The photo of the car (an Austin 7 ???) shows the teacher who organised the Switzerland Skiing trip I mentioned previously. The poolside frollicks and the hut interior photos are poor quality, but included for your interest. Note the 2 different uniforms, the changeover occurring around this time.
